It’s unforgiveable, I know. Almost 3 months without a post, and yet I am not bothered. Been spending time wrestling with customer service reps getting things sorted out for this and that. That is, if I actually get a live person on the line. These days, everything is automated, press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish and * for gibberish. So when I found Dial A Human, you could say I was ecstatic to say the least. I’ve only been aware of this site for less than 2 months when I saw it in someone else’s blog but you can bet I’ve shared it with a lot of my friends Stateside.

So what is it a site for? If you’re like me, and you’ve wasted minutes, nay hours of your life on hold, waiting to speak to a live customer service representative for practically ANYTHING, then this site is for you. It lists the toll-free number for majority of companies, services, institutions that offer phone customer service and it also includes instructions on what specific numbers to punch in to get directed to a live operator as opposed to a recording.

Three thumbs up to Dial A Human!

is here! I have been testing it, it looks pretty but like anything new, could be a challenge to maneouvre for those who just want to write a post and be done with it. I doubt I’ll be upgrading my established blogs anytime soon. But if you want to take a peek, head on over to WordPress.org for more information.

That’s what I’ve been with this blog. Life took over again and I had no time to do a lot of things so this blog took a backseat. I did, however, think up a few articles to write about. Here are the links in no particular order:

  • How much can one blog about? I have been following this article by Le Figaro on Olivier Martinez’s (the sexy French writer that Diane Lane had an affair with in Unfaithful) case against some French bloggers who posted a link referring to his personal life and about his relationship with Kylie Minogue. Privacy is very highly valued in French society, so much so that a lot of celebrities have chosen to relocate there to avoid the paparazzi. Not surprisingly, the actor won his case and is to be awarded 1000 euros (spare change for the actor?) for the trouble caused. Quite ironic considering Kylie does interviews talking about their failed relationship…

I tried to find the English version of this news article and only came up with this:
French court fines user-generated website for privacy breach

  • The Bristlebot: one of the most useless but amusing things I have seen in a while.

  • The Brian G. blog. Well I no longer even want to talk about that.
  • Slow Firefox DNS Mac OS X Leopard - Thank God I found this, I really thought I was losing my mind!!!
  • MagicJack - 2008’s greatest invention? I ordered it, I tested it, sent one overseas and still waiting to test it then. I plan to post a substantial review when I’ve done a thorough analysis.

That’s it for now and Happy Easter season to everybody.
